Dear Octagon,

Thank you so much for listening to the overwhelming majority of the community and making the ribbon structure for Revolving Planeswalk 10/5/5. This makes the event significantly less grindy, which is important for a daily event that runs during the work week when people tend to be most busy. And by making it 10 ribbons for winning the match, you also help out brand new players who don’t have the cards or strong planes walkers to achieve the secondary objectives. This helps make the event a more enjoyable experience for new players, which in turn helps grow this great game.

You have a tough job Octagon. Your decisions are never going to please everyone, and I imagine keeping up with the constant slew of new sets released in paper magic is a lot of work. Thank you for all you do; thank you for making a great game; and thank you for listening to the community.

  1. Having a place like this forum where you actually read and listen to people’s ideas/gripes/praise

  2. Communicating and fixing bugs promptly

  3. Changing the daily points to 10/5/5 make it less grindy

I’ve been saying for years, even through some of the less than ideal scenarios - that this is by far the best game on mobile along with the best developers. This welcomed 10/5/5 update shows just that. Thank you again for all your hard work and commitment to the player base and the overall great experience of this game!

Criticism of something that you have put lots of effort into making must be challenging to hear sometimes, and I agree with the sentiment of others. If we expect you to listen to criticism but never offer any praise, that’s pretty one-sided.

It’s also appreciated that you not only listen but actually implemented the suggestions, primarily adjusting the point payout for each match. I am one of the many many players that do this as I can throughout the day, working, family etc.

The larger points means I get less grief at home about wanting to play a few matches and helps the life balance.
