# 13 Sentry Covers Already?

I just saw that The X-Men’s Leader, Nazarath, already has 13 Sentry covers ( they’re leading Season 2.) I so can’t compete when it’s this easy for some people to just buy covers. I didn’t even know he was in packs yet.

he’s not in packs, if they have 13 they earned all 3-4 in the event and then payed to max it, meaning payed for 9-10 covers, 11250-12500 HP

He’s not in packs yet. If you save up enough HP or buy HP, once you get a color of a cover, you can use the HP to build them up. Same thing happened with Lazy Daken.
If you were in a top 100 alliance and placed top 100 (i think 100, might have been 50) in your bracket, and played the "easy node that gave you red Sentry, then you would have gotten all 3 colors. Then you just pump HP into them to max them out.

Sure you can. You just progress slower. Eventually you’ll end up the same place they are, you just got there much cheaper. It’s like paying for First Class or Coach. lol.

I like this game a lot. But paying what, like $60 for one character is way past my pay grade. People can spend their money on whatever they want, but man, that seems like a waste of money to me.
It does suck how pay to win this game can get.

You have to also understand that the top 10 alliances also get a lot of HP from PVP and PVE placements.

I wasn’t that impressed with Sentry. I get paying to max UberDaken. I don’t get paying to max Sentry - he wouldn’t be a first pick for me. But hey - each to his own.

You don’t have to compete with those people directly, you can always hit skip if you see a maxed Sentry/LD/whatever newest character in PvP. There are very, very few big spenders and that will stay.
Most players are in the same boat as you and have to earn their covers through competing. If anything, the big spenders allow F2Ps to play for free, so kudos to them. They also allow wiki guys to collect info for newest characters ASAP.
Now if you suddenly get into a 3x 141 (including the newest character) territory, that’s pretty awful, but you can try to miss out top rewards in one tourney and get better luck next time, or rely on shielding a bit more than usual. If you have a solid roster already, even a maxed Sentry won’t be a problem that often. E.g. take your Hulk, enjoy the show. For 2\*s, oBW delays Sentry’s best move (green), MMN can explode the entire board for you, and Sentry’s red ain’t too cheap to deny during an entire game. Yellow is just a single strike tile which you can overwrite with Cap.

You’re going to see something like this every time a new character comes out. Wait until the new Storm drops or She-Hulk. Hell, wait until the 3 ability for Fury drops. You’re gonna crap your breeches when you see 240 Nick Fury right after the rewards go out.

I think i will crap my breeches if anyone ever get a lvl 240 Nick Fury in their roster. Well because that is just impossible.

I only played a total of…uhh…6 matches? In this pve. I might be back.on the ponie next event. Was hoping I could rubberband or at minimum join a bra let at the end. Of course, thier New bra jet scheme.affects pve too so I got into a bracket I had no use fo compete in sans rubberbanding at that point. So I just didn’t play. Honestly, I only played today a few because I heard there was a sentry node lol.
More on topic, so I don’t have a real feel for him, but at a glance he would be very effective for fast matches between shields. With the new f u to the shields (I think they removed the delay or something when unshielding?) a fast kill team.is even more important. I get dakan, but I also get sentry. Of course I don’t get spending that kind of money on a game where you don’t even own what you buy legally… So I am morally and logically against freemium games and would never recommend ppl to spend cash beyond a couple bucks; how other ppl I don’t care about (honest) part with thier money is not my problem and so, why chastise them? Last thing someone wants to hear is someone telling them that thing they just got sucks and bla bla…whatever fun or enjoyment they could have had gets wrecked with doubt. Sometimes “f it, just do it” is an okay state of mind for a healthy individual. I bought a $200 sundae for someone’s bachelor party recently…was it a good spend? Hell no lol. Sometimes its not about accounting though. Sometimes its just about enjoying yourself or making others happy.
Sometimes it gets lost in the woodworks, but the whole reason to play the game is fun. And, to be honest, id rather a gambling addict play the Mpq slots then lose thier home at an actual casino and be one those 40 year old regulars who look 60 and reek of cheap cologne, Axe gel, tobacco, and gin. Someone sitting at home smelling like cheetoes, mountain dew, week old hair, and bubble yum is a step up lol.

Yeah, a maxed Sentry/Lazy Daken/Forced character with some +1 AP boost would be killer and speed of light fast. 3-5 turns max. Especially with Sentry Green and Daken blue.

No, of course not, I meant that even a 2\* can deal with a single powerful 3\*'s single move 
Or two moves.
If anything, oBW gets lower value with introduction of characters such as LD and Sentry (one doesn’t even need AP to kill someone quick, another is twice as fast as LT). Not that defense matters, but they can and will be problematic for oBW on offense, even.

Of course you can compete. Very, very few people pay HP to max out a new character. A lot more people compete very well without insta-maxing.

Put 'em together, though, and UDaken strike tiles + World Rupture = bloody murder. If 500+ AOE dmg x 10+ procs (accounting for match-aways and stubborn special tiles) somehow fails, mop up anyone left standing with either Sentry red or UDaken blue.

I definitely see Sentry being very useful at the business end of a PvP tournament where speed is king, but I don’t think he’ll be as useful during the climb where characters like LT, Patch and cMags will still be key characters. Sentry will be perfect when losing health is less important than seeing how many matches you can win during a 5 minute unshielded spell. If I had the spare cash and all 3 covers for him (I don’t have either) I wouldn’t be too opposed to buying more covers for him. I’d still rather have Lazy Daken though, he fits into my general team lineup much better than Sentry does.

My take on Sentry is that he’s an ideal end-of-tournament or defence team character. Whatever you might think of his offensive abilities, it’ll be incredibly hard to get out of a match against him without taking decent damage. Sharing colours with Fat Thor is actually a big issue for offences because you have to deny them R/Y/G through the entirity of both substantial health pools. Focusing on them means ignoring a possible board controlling character…
Personally I’d love a max Sentry just to see who’s brave enough to take him on.

I would, but I have a 5 Blue cMags which makes large health targets like Sentry easier to take down, while generating more AP for my own tanks. I’d still take a fair bit of damage I expect, but I don’t think I’d be afraid of him.

Bra of justice? I guess my phone is a wonder woman fan.
The c is right above space key. Just like the period is next to the space and is too damn cramped. An android update… 9 months ago or something changed the keyboard layout and my writing went to shit. I also hate certain laptop key boards where keys like space enter and shift are weirdly sized compared go a normal keyboard. I function so heavily off Mus le (noticed that…left it to prove a point) memory but type so fast that I will look at what I was writing to proof read it and it will be SO bad I just have to hit enter or die inside lol.
