Fresh and fun content other than cards, PWs, and spins on old events.(ie, new events, Mirrormatches, etc)
More content on a weekly basis (could be more worthwhile events or a grinding type of event that is rewarding and fun)
Ability to collect the entire set at a reasonable cost. (Assuming lottery winner bad luck (never opening a mythic), to craft the entire Ixalan set assuming 150 gubbins/pack, you would have to spend $1700+ to be able to craft all of the mythics… And none of the Elites… NOT REASONABLE!)
@Volrak Have you calculated the expected cost of crafting an entire set like this? My statistics skills were washed away by old age and alcohol a long time ago. But I assume it’s not that complex. Given the stated drop rates, we should be able to back into the expected number of mythics from packs, the amount of gubbins per pack, and the expected total cost of buying premium packs to get to that number.
A daily PVE event that picks a specific Planeswalker. Series of 10 games no secondaries with increasing difficulty like heroic story mode in a sense. Rewards being double exp for the specific Planeswalker, large rune rewards, maybe 15 crystals and 5 pinks for completion. Stays active for 24 hours and then starts a new event with a different planeswalker. 5 days a week, helps people level, provides minor incentives for people with max leveled PWs, and gets people interested in all PWs. You would miss out on a daily here and there if you dont have the appropriate PW, but would incentivize having all of them.
No dupes in elite packs.
Booster crafting for new sets being available immediately after set release.
I love that daily PvE idea… It doesn’t greatly harm players who don’t have the PW, but does give vets something challenging to do that isnt a complete waste of time.
Customizing PWs would be cool. Like 4 options for each loyalty ability for each PW (and maybe the stronger the ability you choose, the worse the mana gains, or something?) would be hard as tinykitty to balance…
Card text consistency. @Sirchombli mentioned this and they’re spot on. Many cards have functionally the exact same ability but are worded very different. I don’t understand why the text has to be rewritten on PQ cards that are exactly like their paper counterpart.
Targeted support removal! How about when you cast the spell a list pops up that lets you select which support you want? Windmill slam.
Fun way to level up Planeswalkers. I know that’s vague but currently the options are a slow grind. A lot of ideas have been suggested. Implementing just one of them would please a lot of the community.
I’ve mention something similar before where each Planeswalker has say 3 slots. 2 slots could be basic things like +15hp, +1 red mana, etc… and where the 3 slot could be a special affinity slot for the Planeswalker like , Vraska add one red pirate… These “orb filling slots” could be attained through quests, card packs…they could restrict to what tier your in like 0 to start, 1 in silver,2 in gold… To take it further you can find legendary orbs that might take 2 slots, Ajani’s last stand- creatures gain vigilance when your below 30hp. Of course, balancing would be considered after a release.
Make real PvP available. AI is boring when luckily cascade through victory and boring when play very , very dumb moves.
Change mastery. I should not be a penalty for newer player with smaller cardbase, nor for those player who experience new deckbuilds. And should be more rewarding for every player.
Make MP more available (back into packs, craftable and every MP should be available in the vault, maybe get back to old school Elite-Pack rule)
Better in-game coalition management and search tools; players can’t reach out to a community they don’t know exists (there are countless possibilities for improvement in this area, but if it has to be a single item, then I’d wish for an auto-filter for players searching for coalitions in-game that biases random results towards currently active coalitions composed primarily of members with similar experience and/or collection levels to the searching player)
New game modes (again, the possibilities are almost endless, but the top priority would probably be head-to-head coalition wars in which each coalition’s members would only face each other’s decks in a given event/match/series of matches/whatever the applicable subdivision would be, then the two coalitions would move up or down in a ladder-like league or tier format based on the respective scores)
Faster loading and animation speeds (every time I try another app and return to this one, I’m reminded of the unusually high proportion of time spent in this game simply waiting for a chance to interact again while events outside of my control unfold)
I’d also like to include better stability and/or a consistent and reasonable compensation policy for critical bugs near the top of the wish list, but I’d reluctantly have to rank those 4th and 5th respectively, so the genie won’t be getting around to either this time.
