4-Ascended 3* from vault

Okay, so. I took a hiatus and when I came back, was drowned in the retro rewards of a good year of absence. Which is awesome! But I had SO MUCH STUFF dying on my vine, it was ridiculous. Already saved the most vital things, but I’m still in the process of trying to get everything rostered.

The Spiderverse vault gave me a 4-ascended 3* Spidey.

My 3* Spidey is on his second cycle at lvl 228, no second copy. If I understood the whole ascension thing correctly, then you don’t work with a base 4-ascended version, right? You combine 2x lvl 266 3* . So the only thing you need a base 4-ascended version for is 5-ascension, which is years away in this case. I do not have luxury slots to spare right now! There’s still eight-ish 3* with multiple copies each and two 4* dying on my vine I’d like to get rostered.

So what do I do with this 4-ascended 3* Spidey? Am I wrong and it makes more sense to throw lvl 228 Spidey out for the ascended one? Do I just sell him? Maybe I’m undervalueing the future use of a base 4-ascended 3* ?

This whole ascension thing is new to me, I’d appreciate opinions.

If you have to throw one out, you throw out the 228 Spidey

The reason is simple. The 4 star champ rewards (for the 4 star ascended version) are WAY better than the remaining rewards for getting the 228 to 266. Plus you’ll end up with a 370 instead of a 266.

Thank you for the response; that’s a good point. I think I was seriously undervalueing the base ascended 4* rewards in my initial annoyance.

Scrambled to clean my vine up a little and somehow I only lost three 3* covers so far. It’s not looking quite as dire now. Ascended Spidey still has 3 days left; I think I should be able to make this work without throwing 228 Spidey out, fingers crossed.
