4* Champing/2* Farming Dilemma

Hi Everyone,

Thanks in advance for your help. I went crazy during the Anniversary Events and I face a dilemma has to how to spend my ISO as I get it. To start with, I have all 3s champed except for Strange and Thanos, and have the following 4s champed: Prof X, Star-Lord, Elektra, Deadpool, Ant-Man, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Thoress, Hulk Buster, Red Hulk, TA Hulk, Sam Wilson, Max Punisher, and Invisible Woman. I have several others covered and with covers to spare.

I have about 50K of ISO right now, 3 of my 2s are championed and heading towards maxing out; the others are all covered and waiting to champ. Here’s what I have for covered 4s:

Nick Fury: Level 135 (352K ISO to champ), 2 covers that expire in 5 and 6 days respectively
Iceman: Level 111 (367K ISO to champ), 2 covers that expire in 11 and 13 days respectively
Kingpin: Level 111 (367K ISO to champ), 5 covers that expire in 6, 7, 7, 11, and 11 days respectively
X-23: Level 94 (374K ISO to champ), 1 cover that expires in 13 days
Devil Dinosaur: Level 112, no covers
Ghost Rider: Level 94, no covers

So my question(s) is this: I don’t think I can champ all of these 4s before their covers expire. What order would you shoot for. Obviously Iceman is ranked the highest but doesn’t expire for a few weeks; Kingpin is lower ranked but I have 5 covers. Also, should I ignore champing anymore 2s until I am done with these characters? Obviously it costs 74K to champ each one, but I have 10+ covers for most all of them which I could immediately cash in once champed (the first one to expire isn’t for 5 days).

Maybe this is more straight-forward than it seems to me, but I am truly perplexed!

Well, the question is, how much Iso do you think you can farm per day? Double Iso is over, so you’re not going to make nearly as much as you did over the holidays, plus there’s a 7-day event going on currently which also stymies your Iso intake a bit. Lightning Rounds start tomorrow, do you plan to farm them? How do you expect to place in PvP?

All of these are considerations when you’re planning out your expenditures. If it were me, I would look at the 367k Iso in 11 days for Iceman as a pretty tough goal to reach on its own, and just sell off everything else as it expires. But I’m not a super dedicated player. You can potentially get 50K or even 60K Iso in a day if you spend all your time on the game, and that’s enough to squeeze out Iceman and X-23 after, barely, to save all of their covers, or alternatively Kingpin followed by Iceman to save the maximum number of 4* covers (although you probably couldn’t save the first Iceman cover). Kingpin is essential in next week’s PvE, so that’s also a consideration.

You could also do Iceman and a handful of 2s. Given that probably none of the other 4s are likely to affect your gameplay much, having the farm might be ultimately more worthwhile to you. In any case, moving forward you probably want to be careful about opening tokens unnecessarily until you have a lot of Iso on hand, so you can avoid having to waste so many.

Congrats PT looks your 4* roster is filling in nicely.

At this stage in your roster, I would actually tell you champ in order of dying cover. of course feel free to priortizing your favorite chars. But in general you’ve more than passed the “essential 4* phase”, is Ice the best 4* in the game sure, but is he THAT much better than RHULK or teen jean who are also green/blue/pink users? Since you’ve got redundancy at ever color, you need to focus on minimizing the numbers of covers that have to be sold.

Personally, I would tell you prioritize KP or GR first. GR Black has a unique power that ideally suited for certain events. Unless you have a pressing situation, your in the market for niche tools vs trying to assemble a basic toolkit. KP has too many covers to waste. If you look carefully at the reward tree you’ll notice that rewards repeat every 8 levels or so. So there is ALOT of value in applying 5 covers to a 4* champ.

Of course I wouldn’t recommend KP if that was your 1st 4* champ, but your safely far enough along…

As far as practial advice, you will either sell the 2 NF covers or 1 of the Ice covers. you should buget around 1 to 2 weeks to amass 350k iso.
My personal champ order if this was my que would be.

  1. Save iso for 5 days. At this point you’ll realize that at BEST you have the iso to do 1 char. So make your decision between champing NF or KP.

  2. Then save for 5 more days. At then point your on day 11 and you’ll probably be short the iso, but who knows maybe a shield rank kicks in? in any case this is when you have the make the real decison between ICe or X-23. Personally, I’d do ice soley for the fact that you have more of his covers.

good luck sucks to sell covers but we all have to do it. There is only 1 4* character color that I cannot use as a champ level or directly apply, so ironically enough RNGjesus saw fit to send me 2 of those covers to sit for the next 6, 11 days with a hope that I magically draw the other 2 cage covers that allow me to champ him. So it happens to everyone at every tier.

Thanks for the advice guys! I actually got a 6th Kingpin cover late yesterday and will be getting another for daily bonus tomorrow, so I feel like I have to shoot for him first. Hopefully I get him and Iceman champed in time!
