Wow! Thanks a lot for your replies! Couldn’t find my previous draft, think I lost it during the forum transition, so I’ll try remember and answer everything.
Magic:
My first advice will be - don’t open yet. Enjoy the 3* land where you can do very well in PvE (and go for 575 in each PvP). Not sure how you spend the hero points but with your roster it should only be spent on slots. Don’t buy the packs, don’t buy health packs, don’t even shield much (maybe at the end of event to protect final score). Again - enjoy the game and keep developing your roster in a natural way (mainly via progression in PvP and PvE). Or jump to the end of the post for the alternative solution.
Yes! I’m enjoying it a lot! I mainly play PvE, I can reach max progression when I have time to play, otherwise, I try to get the 4* reward, at least. Scaling at this point it’s great, think it’s well balanced for my roster. I only play hard in PvP depending on the event rewards, reached 575 a few times but, you know, don’t put much effort every single time. Also, all my HP goes to slots, made those mistakes when I was starting the game, learned the hard way!
- It’s better to focus on one hero and in your case I would focus on one of the latest ones like Medusa or Carol D. Don’t hold your breath on this - your CP stash is good for 70 classic pulls. They will give you about 3-4 bonus heros if you are on average (might be 5-6 if you are very lucky, might be 0-1 if unlucky). You might get 2-3 more with the Latest tokens. You will not max cover anybody that way. That’s why the BH is a trap with the 5% odds.
I was a bit lucky with BH while champing my last 3*, but things in 4* land are quite different, not to say slower, at least. I’m aware it’s a trap, but if I get 2-3 bonus covers from those 40 LT and 3-4 from CP pulls, it’s still good. Well, I’ll select only one, so who do you recommend focusing right now? Medusa, Carol, Coulson, Luke Cage? Don’t have much xp with those on the pool, so who’s worth possibly getting extra covers first? Am I forgetting anyone?
- See above. Keep hoarding, accumulating resources and pull when you are ready. In my opinion (feel free to disagree with it) you are not. The best usage of such a nice hoard you have is to pull the whole thing using the latest to acquire 3 fully covered 5* (you won’t need to level them if you don’t want to jump to 5* land). While doing that you get a lot of 4* covers. But such a hoard requires about 250 pulls from latest. You have about 100. Not yet there but you can get there. And meanwhile you will develop your roster. With the vaulting you should focus on the latest 12 (or even the newest 6-8 as they will be rotating out sooner then you can cover them) as it’s very unlikely that you will be able to cover any of the old ones in a reasonable time. You might still open an odd legendary token (I would go for classics if you decide to) just for the pleasure of opening the 4/5 hero. But you need spare HP for that as well.
I will play Devil’s advocate on myself here as well. There is another option. Open the CP on classic legends. That way you will acquire the 4* heroes of today and be able to cover some/most of them. Make sure you have iso so the covers are not wasted. And do it if you want to jump to 4* territory (advisable to have 3-4 4* ready and pushed in more or less the same time). Keep the latest tokens for future use to cover the future 5* (it won’t be any of the current ones there) - treat it as a special trophy and keep accumulating. This way you will have a feeling of a steady progression to 4* land and you will be priming yourself for a jump to 5* land in some time (probably around a year from today).
I’m definitely not ready, not at all! Regardless of the choice, I still need a lot of HP to roster the remaining, not to mention the next releases, and tons of iso to champ 3-4 4* at the same time, now I have enough for just one. I’m asking so I’ll be more prepared when the time comes.
Well, both suggestions are interesting! First one, I need tons of CP and/or LT, but I have a good chance to get more covers of the 3 newest 5*, besides several 4* covers. On the other hand, I could save the LT for future releases, and use the CP on Classics to get 4* covers and eventually, get the older 5*. I know I’m thinking too much ahead but I can think in one major disadvantage of the Classics: I can end up with more 5* with less covers than opening only the Latest tokens. As you’ve pointed, it’s possible to acquire the 3 latest 5*, fully covered with 250+ pulls. I can see now, the lines on the road are longer than I thought.
granne:
You are far more likely to pick up your missing 4s from 3 champ rewards, as most of them have feeders, than you are to get them as 4* BHs. You could consider setting each feeder as your BH until it hits that cover at 183, then switching.
Well observed! Thanks! For those missing, I think only Medusa, Spider Gwen and Ironheart don’t have feeders.
OneLastGambit:
My advice is set your BH to anyone who is does not have 5 in any colour. The RNG will frustrate you with dupes if you do and since BH are rare anyway you want to make best use of them as possible.
Exactly! Hate when that happens!
Despite not being able to reliably add champ levels to older characters anymore it is still worth building and champing them because someday they will be boosted and/or essential.
I wonder when I’ll fully cover the 4* top tier characters!
For now though focus on getting 3 of the current pool fully covered before you put iso into any of them. They will only start helping when you have a couple maxed, otherwise keep building into you are in a position to insta-max them.
Also, read about scaling, they say it raises considerably after champing the first 4*, so I’m hoarding iso to level 3 or 4 at the same time.
