Why do u consider Shang worthless coz u got a 550 Shang or u feel he s not worth levellikg beyond a certain point after champing out of curiosity i am asking
I was ready to buy another 10 pack along with a pull each day for the next week. Taking out the only 5* that I cared about from the vault? Looks like I’m gonna be saving over 3k hp this week.

These vaults are generous in an unprecedented way, I really can’t see too much cause to complain.

That’s where I am. I’m trying to decide how much HP I want to spend, I emptied the first one twice – I could go for another forty pack with no real issues, but probably not much more. Trouble is, the character I think I want to boost the most is Shang-Chi, so the current vault is out.
It’s really weird they varied only one 5* character, to be honest. I would have expected all or none.
I’m bummed about them switching Shang out for Strange. I didn’t notice cause I’m a dumbo and bought one of the 10 tokens for 2800 thingies : / Oh well. Did get a Strange cover, and a BRB too tho. Up to 11 covers on BRB now so thats dope.
It’s the Anniversary. I LITERALLY waited a year for this. I spent real money on it. I’m allowed to be upset that they told us one thing and did another.
Same here, spent real money on hp for the vault. The way I see it, BCS stole money from me, they’re nothing but thieves. Won’t see another dime from me ever again.
Just to play devils advocate, I don’t see where they told us one thing and did another. The anniversary post clearly stated the dates and characters for the first week’s vault, but nothing about the second week’s. And if you’re upset that Shang is currently gone, they have stated that the final vault of the season will be the same as the first, so he’ll be back.
You can be upset but I don’t see how the second part of your last sentence is true. And are you saying the Vault was not worth it? If it was worth it then what is the problem?
Wow. So did you not receive from the vault what you paid HP for? Theft is a criminal offence and should be reported to the authorities - please make sure you quit right away now so that they are able to take your accusation seriously and you do not undermine any case by remaining a customer despite this criminal activity.
Also - what other Anniversary has featured a Vault with 5* characters in? You say you have LITERALLY waited a year for this but that cannot possibly be true in terms of this particular vault - there has never been one like it so you would have zero reason for such expectations. The Devs have been in full control for just over a month. The previous Devs had 8 years and never approached this level of Vault contents. Sorry man, I get you are upset but maybe some perspective is needed.
Re: what we were told
These Vaults will have slightly different items, namely the randomized covers and a couple of the 3 and 4-star fan favorites will be rotated out.
They made a point of telling us the 3’s and 4’s would rotate out. I think it’s a fair assumption that meant the 5’s would stay the same. That’s burying the lead.
Re: I should have perspective.
First off, I think it’s unfair for you to say that. But second, I’m not sitting here pulling my hair out over this. People have this bizarre propensity for thinking when someone says they’re angry about something that it’s somehow consuming their life and turning them to the dark side of the force. It isn’t. There are levels of angry. I am exactly angry enough to say so in a forum post. No more, no less. I’m not suing them. Get off my back.
Re: Expectations
Suppose I wanted Dr. Strange covers instead of Shang-Chi covers. That doesn’t present as an option, but it’s still a good vault. So, I take the HP I saved up, the HP I bought, and the HP I had saved in all the max champs I accumulated over the entire year and I buy a bunch of 40-packs. Then, out of nowhere, they switch Shang-Chi out and put Strange in. I could’ve gotten all those levels onto the character I wanted instead of the character I didn’t need them on. How is that fair?
There are more 4’s in this one. Did I get 3* and 2* covers that could’ve been 4* covers instead? I pulled almost 200 times. That can add up.
Additionally, how can I trust them going forward?
The Anniversary is the one major event each year that we can count on as being special. I plan for it all year long. I strategize my spending and my roster around it. I am allowed to have feelings about this.
Expectation is a dangerous game. Assumptions are the road to disappoinment. Whenever we invest in something there is always the danger that come the following week things change and the deal we took doesn’t look as sweet. But it was and is still a very sweet deal.
Am I on your back? I don’t mean to be. Just like you are angry enough to state an opinion in a forum post, I am equally as moved to state my opposition to what seems an unjust accusation. It isn’t personal, I actually have enjoyed your posts over the years and it is that long term nature which makes me surprised at your reaction. You don’t have to listen to me though or feel any less hard done by and even if it seems otherwise I do respect posters struggling with disappoinment even if I struggle to understand where they are coming from.
I go back to my first paragraph. You took the chance and presumably you did so because the pot was suitably sweet enough. You could have hedged your bets, been cautious but you went all in. I am genuinely sorry it hasn’t from your view worked out but I don’t think you can really say you have been screwed over. You got what you paid for which is the sweetest deal in MPQ history that I can see.
If you don’t think this Anniversary hasn’t been special then I probably can’t change your mind. Personally I have never seen one like it.

8 years of meh anniversaries, or at least 4 years that I’m playing on totally mediocre anniversaries, and this one with new devs full of gifts and ways to effectively maxing meta characters on the cheapest way, and still there are people finding ways to complain

SC will return next weeks, and FF tokens still are raining. But don’t let these tiny details mess your " major slap in the face".
Alright so let me get this straight. The devs put up an incredibly generous vault and announced that a new vault would replace it weekly. You then made assumptions about subsequent vaults. You then chose to buy pulls from this vault via HP and money willingly.
Somehow, this equates to the devs doing something criminal and you vocally complaining about it here? The delusion here is bonkers. You aren’t owed anything.
Bad, you’re the one who wanted to buff Okoye, right?
Somehow, I feel like I would have more people on my side if the toon that switched in was someone more dangerous than Dr. Strange. Call ut a hunch.
