A Glimpse Of The Development Process (2/1/17)

Hey Everyone,

In the past, a lot of players have asked for us to explain the development process, and provide a behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to address an issue. Well look no further!
I teamed up with our producer, Josh Austin, to find out what kind of steps both the development and publishing teams go through in order to tackle these challenges head on.

You also might notice that this exact content is posted for both Marvel and Magic. The reason for this is because the process is the same for both!

Editor’s Note: I originally wanted the development team to be able to weigh in more on their side of the process, but found that they unfortunately just had too much on their plate. Due to this, I decided to stop pestering them ( icon_lol.gif
) since I didn’t want to keep delaying this post for the community. Hope this article proves insightful!

Who/what is “first party”?

Would have much preferred an actual development thread that was promised and is already a month too late… but alright. We’ll take this.

Apologies for the delay on the Developer’s Thread. The team has been rather busy lately, and the article was still in the review process. My intention of this post was more so supplemental information until the team is able to approve, and then post the Developer’s Thread.

Based on the timing, I would imagine the next installment of it will be for the February edition. Thanks for being patient!

I have another suggestion,
Can we ask development team to dedicate a person who would play this game on daily basis ?
There are still bugs that hasnt been fixed since BFZ and are really annoying I can only assume that noone has reported them assuming it was already reported…
to name few:
bug when claiming daily prizes or events screen goes dark you have to force close the app → if someone would play this game from development/QA team this would be fixed immediately
NoP black node Gaining health when you or your opponent holds lifelink card → again we had few “new” NoP’s this bug has been since new event started

I think they’re talking about Apple and Google, there. I believe Apple, at least, requires major patches to apps to be submitted to it for review in advance.

By my reckoning, they’ve got at least about 20-30 thousand people who play this game on a daily basis.
