Please dear lord we need a break. Can we have just one week without a grind PVE? Especially with season end coming up so soon? Throwing out new character after character at this obscene pace has to be burning everybody out.
At least for me, ISO is a huge problem. I have so many character languishing down in the low levels when I have the covers to bring them up. But I can’t catch a break to farm some ISo for them. Have to constantly pump it into the newest characters to have any chance in the next PVP events.
Seven characters I have the covers to max to 166. but they have been stuck for ages.Instead I have to buff a lowly Blade, who quite frankly, sucks donkey.
I’d love to hear what others have to say. If I’m the only one feeling this then I’ll shut up but I have a feeling there is support for my plea out there
Every chance I can I’ll say it again: Every time they add another character, they add significant time for the transitioners. To offset this, HP/ISO/Token Drop Rate/Roster slot HP cost all need to be scaled for each added character, retroactively to when these values were initially set and characters began being added.
Im really tired of the whole pves they release.
they are overscalled, every day you have to grind if you want some good placment.
For me it looked like nobody slept the last 7 days because at thr same day a pve end a new one gets released just 10h later. Guess thats devs refreshing time for us to take sleep for the next pves they release again and again.
i will def nkt playing this pve or just the last hours.
we ALL should boycott thr next 2 pves devs cant treat us like slave who have to play the whole day just to get the newest charackter.
just because we love this game and want to compete but if we want we have to do it like THEY want.
spent more money and more time.
i and would do it.
And i hope that some other ppl wont play this pve as well.
We can get the gomora covers at pve
lets set a statement to d3 to stop playing with us like dolls.
we are their customers and they should listen to us.
brilliant thread dudes. Thanks i wanted to do the same
As an FYI D3 likes to start PVE’s on Thursdays and Fridays. My guess is we will be starting a new PVE on Friday. Probably a 7 day even to cover the non season time. I will also gander that it will be an older cover for a reward so vets will be able to take a PVE break. I could be wrong and they could start the brand new PVE event this Friday with the new enemy and game play ot re energize the player base around PVE
There is always a PvE that ends Sunday night 1 hour before season end. Expect a 2.5 day heroic to run Friday to Sunday with the PvP featured being one of the available options. I would guess Mystique prizes to keep everyone interested.
Yeah they do like running high demand pve rewards right when the season ends. Quite frankly, I’m kind of surprised they didn’t make the gamora one a week again to end at the same time as the season
I’ll throw my name in… I’m tired of them too. I tried very hard for the Grocket and did well but the last one, was too much, the one with Thoress. Now the current one requires the Thoress that I couldn’t get. Again, I like the game, day 405, but it’s starting require too much time.
As I posted earlier, I’m beginning to adjust my expectations. Here’s my thinking:
Why devote the time to a cover that won’t immediately benefit me? I’m only a 600-700 PVP guy, that’s maybe a top 25 if I’m lucky. I have useless Mystique, Doc Oct, Colossus, Groot, Blade, etc, that I invested alot of time in to win. I don’t buy covers, only bought blk hulk. So I have to either wait for a PVP or get lucky and pull what I need. So slowly I am beginning to view PVE as a way to get the one cover I need with points and as a way to get a couple of 500 ISO nodes. It’s not worth it for me to place for the new cover, which I can get for a season reward or PVP.
It’s only an Iso farm for 4 passes. After that, it’s pretty worthless. Supports the casual theory. Personally, I enter subs about 9 hours from end time and run 4 clears. I get a lot less 20 Iso “prizes” that way, but rack up plenty of points through the rubberband.
The irony is that ISO and token drops have gotten worse instead of better, so they are headed the wrong direction.
A year ago:
A lightning round token included a guaranteed villain card (1100 HP)
A lightning round 5-pack included 1 card for each of the 5 villians (5000 HP)
Each node in a PVP often included a 250ISO ‘first time completion’ bonus. (which would really add up during events like The Hunt)
Now even event tokens have only a vanishing small chance of getting the feature character (even in the 10 and 42 packs).
And the ‘first time completion’ bonus is gone from PVE maps.
So, now:
you are less likely to be able to fully cover a new character; and you are less able to generate the ISO you need to finish them if you do.
I can’t imagine what it would be like to pick this game up brand new today. I don’t have a problem fully covering characters (it might take a 2 seasons for a 3 star), but I definitely have to be more selective with my ISO than I was. (thankfully sometimes they launch characters like Beast or Doc Ock, which helps slow my need to spend ISO on levels… )
while i think the iso rates could use some love, it’s not the biggest problem in the game by far. i actually think keeping low-ish iso rates is good because it forces players to choose what characters to invest in, however, the real issue at hand is the shit-tastic field of characters. way too many suck way too hard so people only invest iso in a small chosen few so instead of puzzle quest it becomes xforce quest.
d3, TAKE SOME FUCKING TIME TO BALANCE THE BAD CHAMPS. it’s not too hard. riot does it with league of legends on a WEEKLY basis.
