Well I know for a fact that Killwind is actually gone. He deleted the app on Saturday – yet we still played Nodes of Killwind this week.
I’d like to hear from anyone at Hibernum who can answer for this – matchmaking is screwed and we deserve and explanation.
I can confirm I faced his decks twice, J2 and Kiora. Smoked both, but still, shouldn’t even be an option.
Also faced him twice. C1 and another deck that I can’t recall.
I’ve never faced him (dont think I’m in the right tier) but that sucks just on principle.
And I have faced the same player multiple times in an event, so it’s a thing even at lower levels.
I can confirm that I played on NoP in my first round against him
Played his Saheeli deck this event.
Faced him 3 times this NoP. Jace 1, Chandra 1, and Ob.
I only played 3 different people in all 15 nodes. Brian1125 - 3 times. Killwind - 5 times Mersicide - 7 times
How is that random? I still beat them all. That’s not the point. Matchmaking is beyond broken.
Sounds like my experience. I played that trio in 13 of 15 matches.
I played him more probably 8 times, my whole NoP matches were against 3 players:
Killwind
brian1125
Mericide
D3 seriously needs to fix this because it is getting annoying…
Pretty much all my PVP events are match up against these guys.
I have deleted the app from my devices.
Can confirm played his Sorin 3 times and J2 once. I thought I was the only one that got Killwind/mersicide all the time. My third is GunBunny.
Not in Platinum tier, but in Gold, same thing. I went up against the same name 5 times and there’s more than 100 players, so how do I keep getting matched up with the same names?
Perhaps if someone could explain HOW the AI matches us up would be nice to know. If it’s not based on players in the same current tier as you (especially if someone isn’t even playing - ala Killwind) then how exactly is a match made? 
I played brian1125 twice and killwind 8 times in the first 10 matches. last 5 were all merecide. not really much fun…
Same. Between him and Mersicide sometimes I wonder if anybody else even plays the game. The other day I had seven games in a row against the same person in different nodes.
Last EO event, I was paired with Ultradaved 4 times in a row on the 3 different Nodes. He was the #1 rank in the bracket each battle. I did manage to win 3 of the 4 matches (I think), but again this is besides the point. There should be a better distribution as in the same even I was paired with Ultradaved several more times and one other player Schizoid03(sp?) several times.
The only match I lost full points on in this last NoP event was against Killwind’s Saheeli. Baral/HtS nonsense, of course.
I’m gonna put aside the fact that he’s supposedly gone to talk about how ludicrous it is that we are forced to play the same rotation of 20 or so players. The brackets have five hundred slots in them. D3, please explain why it is that with 500 other players, literally everyone on this forum complains about the incredibly consistent amount of times they have to play against those 20 or so players who have incredibly fine-tuned decks.
I can also confirm that all of my matches were vs Killwind, Brian1125 and Merciside. I think only 1 was Killwind though.
The FiRF was much worse. I don’t recall who my first 2 matches were against, but 12 of the last 13 were against Chubby.
REALLY no fun to face the same decks over and over (3 matches vs Chubby’s Tezz 1 deck).
Tough decks there Chubby if you are reading.
But, the point is that there really needs to be more variety. I would even be happy to play against any of my coalition members and since our “family” is nearly 60 people, there are likely a couple hundred level 60 platinum opponents just there!
I only played two ppl, half of my nodes were vs killwind the other was brian
