We cleared all eight rounds by early Friday afternoon. One member didn’t play until we were done and then he joined. Does he get the alliance rewards? He’s been very quiet about it.
Yes. If he joins (or has joined), he should get them. At least that’s how it worked on a previous Boss Event when I joined a secondary account of mine with an alliance that had already completed all 8 rounds. It took a few minutes for the awards to show up, but they did.

As long as you are below 20/20 players for the event, they’ll get rewards. If 20/20 have already joined, they’ll be put into their own boss instance and have to complete the whole thing by themselves!
I remember being very surprised coming back from a holiday, joining the boss event to help my alliance in the final few hours and finding they’ve completely beaten it without me.
and then within about 20 minutes I got all the rewards for it! Shame it didn’t give me progression rewards too =P
