Last nights patch did it! My RL friend who hasn’t been able to play for a loong time, updated and got right in (and had around a hundred gifts waiting for him lol)
My wife is no longer randomly losing connection.
Mine was mostly fixed last patch, not a single issue since the update yesterday.
