If runaway carrage is your opponent’s first creature you can comfirm anguish unmakings cast, but it doesn’t actually do anything. It just stays there in your hand.
I can confirm this. When the opponent has no creatures you can still cast to gain the support removal but with rc in play in the first creature slot it won’t cast.
