Playing as Sarkhan the Mad.
Have Ryusei, the Falling Star on the battlefield.
I use Sarkhan’s second ability to DESTROY one of your creatures to create a 6/6 dragon.
Ryusei says “When this creature is DESTROYED, deals 8 damage to creatures without fyling”.
I used the ability. I DESTROYED Ryusei…why no damage trigger?
All my opponents creatures were ground based.

That’s odd, I’ve managed to use Sarkhan’s ability to trigger other on destruction abilities (the M19 creature that drains mana and spawns an extra Dragon token most recently). So this is either a really new bug, or an issue with Ryusei.
It should work, unless Ryusei was disabled or there were not valid targets for the damage.
I have also seen some death effects fail to trigger if Journey to Eternity triggers to return the creature, but it is pretty rare (mostly on legacy cards)
If Ryusei died by any other means it triggers fine.
