Finally!!
Was able to install the update, and the game loaded. I missed 5 days of VIP rewards plus a ton of in-game advancement, will I be receiving any compensation?
Good news. You didn’t miss any VIP rewards at least. That only moves if you play.

Your VIP was paused so you missed nothing. It will continue from where it was.
Idk about the rest. We will see what they do.
I’m wondering the same. I also sent in a message about this. I’m an avid player but MPQ does not rule my life yet I have invested time and some money. I have NOT heard a single word from the MPQ team. I feel there should be some compensation for the down time. I can’t imagine having to deal with the problems the MPE team have to deal with daily. However, the team has a responsibility to all the players.

I imagine the first order of business is:
-
Getting all the players accounts restored along with getting everyone on R246
-
Getting all the characters that were de-leveled restored to max (seems to be the default)
Then I’d guess the second order of business will be to release the feeder shards for Banshee.
After the above is done, then they can work on compensation for what happened. In other words don’t expect to hear much till later in the week.

Who knows what’ll happen to it today, tomorrow, the day after?
No one should place the game itself that high on their priority list. It’s a hobby, a pastime, an amusement.
As far as compensation….I am sure whatever they do will feel like not enough. I have no idea what they’ll do. Will they try to individually send out more to people who were cut off for days vs those who missed 27ish hours? Can they? Seems like a huge task. Idk.
They consistently mess up and we consistently say they should overdo compensation and they consistently do not. The problem is revenue is still far lower than it used to be and for the bean counters the more free stuff they send, the less they think people will spend. So just expect not much.
You only really missed the first day of the PVE event, which shouldn’t have stopped you from getting full progression rewards and node awards. Not saying it’s not annoying, but it could have been worse.
We already mentioned that compensation for these issues would be organised after we have these issues resolved
