I don’t know why but with the recent patches to MPQ, I’ve noticed that by using a single boost, I seem to lose matches. I thought they were supposed to help. This started happening around the time they revamped the boosts section.
E.g.
If you use a Black and Green 10% boost, then the board loads a bunch of other colours purposely limiting black and green. I’ve done this with other colour combos and same effect.
Or if you add a 20% all colour damage boost, the opponent gets streaks or chains of matches to bring you down.
It seems that the boosts have effect if you use multiple boosts at once to counter the AI. Could this be a way of the devs making us consume boosts so that we have to buy them? Certainly seems like it.
The only general boost that really helps me is the all colour stockpile.
