So I have a choice between Cap Marvel, Th4r and 4clops to ascend and am wondering who to go for? Or should I just champ a 5* instead? Iso is tight so can only do one this time around an no, I don’t care about Max/Max and 3 already have 5* versions so I hope is “safe”. Or I could champ a 4* I guess - Purple Man, Lady Ock or Annihilus. I guess what I am saying is…no I already forgot what the point of this was. What did the Romans ever do for us?

5* choices include Nova, Kaine, Doc Ock, Monster Face Miles, Sersi, Iron Man, FA Cap, Heimdall, Odin, Both Spidey, Old Man Daken, Wasp, Ronan, Black Widow, Knull, Loki, Gamora, Big Wheel, Hotpool and Goblin! Phew! Any gems in there? Agatha is already champed from latest.

Carol is useful as a 5*, the others are benchwarmers.

Carol is/was my first instinct but I figured I would ask as you people know far more than I do!

I have all 3 of them ascended and the only one I’ve actually gotten use out of is cyclops. Ascended and boosted his red hits hard and his blue and yellow fuel his red.

Carol is probably good boosted too, I’ve just had better options every time she’s been boosted.

I ascended 4* Carol when ascension first started and it don’t think I’ve actually used her since.

I’d probably go for Hotpool, but I do really like Purple Man’s kit and I’ve been Shargeting mine most of the time he’s been around. I don’t really rate Lady Ock or Annihilus.

Also how many saved covers have you got? Extra rewards are nice when champing them if you have a load.

Carol makes a bunch of combos go – her passive strengthens special tiles when a CD goes off. The AP gen/damage passive gets pretty strong too.

I ascended Lady Ock but haven’t used her much yet. I still think she’s pretty strong when paired with strike tiles.

I think Annihilus is a bit of a dud, but I’m still a few weeks away from ascending him.

I didn’t even look at the 5* list; I’d say Sersi or Hotpool maybe.

Hmm…not sure. I definitely have a LOT of shards for some of these guys and some extra covers, my dupe Cap Marvel took forever to get a third black cover whilst racking up other saved covers.

I would have to check.

I’m intrigued on Hotpool - is this down to his strike tile power or am I missing something else on him?

I finished the Classics a couple of months ago in terms of covering them all and had been looking to champ them all which Anniversary iso has helped a lot with - however I sort of got waylaid by champing/ascending Agatha, Spider Girl, R4G and I also made the massive mistake of champing Victor/Syndrome who is, even boosted, pretty terrible. So I am trying to make this one count!

I’m so behind champing new 5s because it costs ~65% as much iso and frees up a roster slot to ascend somebody.

May has 13.5 covers in the bank
Kaine has 12 shards shy of 10 in the bank
Hotpool has 10.5
Nova has 4
Agatha is 3/5/4 with 394 shards
Mephisto is still new, but 3/3/3 with 425 shards

I haven’t even been staying on top of new 4s;

Dark veil has 18.5 covers
Doom has 22.5
Lady Ock has 11.5
Annihilus has 10
Purple man is at around 8.5 banked up

But I have 60 ascended 4s so I guess that’s something.

Yeah, I have no way near that amount of ascended 4s, lol! I am working on my dupe for Polaris who would be the next must have 4 to 5 but in the meantime I am trying to bring up others as I go in terms of 5s. I do like having the ascended 4s though as extra boost options.

I have no idea what the newer 4s do, I know Purple Man was supposed to be decent, I don’t really remember his PvP. I champed Darkveil thinking to use with Kang but haven’t got around to that yet.

You can get use out of HotPool.

I don’t think you have anyone up to bat that is a game changer.
There are few ascended 4->5 I regularly use.

I would just dump the iso into your 5s.
Sersi-Hotpool-Kaine-Nova-Big Wheel.

Purple Man is good, and he will be boosted a few more times so he could be a good choice.

You just kind of have to judge who you will get the most use out of, and generally when you are in the 5* tier there are only a few 4s worth it.

darkveil generates free yellow I believe, and he also sends enemies airborne regularly, but i’m not 100% sure since mine is un-champed and not used yet.

If there’s no obvious thing to go all-in on, then just save your resources, be prepared when something pressing does present itself.

In a surprise even to myself I ended up ascending Karnak so I had to vote Other which is a bit embarrassing on my own poll…but I am probably doing Hotpool next. That could also be phrased better.
