Okay, I get it, D3 needs to make money, but to create a tournament with a very high 300 Coin cost with terrible payouts is a little bit too hard to take. so for 300 coin you guarentee 1 heroic token and 500 Iso-8. If you are going to be doing tournaments like this, at least have higher coin payouts on other events, like top 250 gets 50 coin or something, This just seems like a complete and total money grab.
I can see this cost a thousand HP easy to place.

I did want an infusion of HP and this tournament is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Yeah, this is sorta rough on the mid tier players. Top tier players, chance for big rewards. Low tier players, guaranteed heroic and some iso. Mid tier players, Heroics that are getting less useful, and unlikely to get top tier rewards. Basically, trading 300 HP for some Iso and a small chance at something useful.
Will be interesting to see how this goes. You could look at it as 300HP for a heroic token with the chance to get much more. You could also look at it as a a waste of time for a bunch of HP you don’t really need. Perhaps if there were some covers involved but HP= covers if you have them all and folks who enter this likely have all the covers. To me the real risk would be winning (not a risk for me). After getting enough HP to instantly max out all your heroes I’d think the game would be pretty boring. I’ll pass on this one but good luck to those folks who enter!

Absolutely. I need ISO, HP is pretty inconsequential.
Rank 2000+ always gives 2000 ISO + iso from tokens if they aren’t useful. shrugs If you’ve got no other good use for your HP, gives you a way to convert it to ISO (If not at an ideal conversion rate lol).
Actually, I didn’t know that and you’re right. It’s not a bad trade-off if you can finish in top 100 or 200. You get some HP back and 2000 ISO for your troubles.
Although that 2000 ISO only represents about 1 1/2 additional levels of a mid-leveled 3 star character.

As far as I understand Patch isn’t an Avenger so this pretty much rules out every powerhouse character besides Wolverine and Thor, which most people should have anyway.
Is Spiderman an avenger? I’m not familiar with the character affiliations. If not, then Hulk could be tiresome to defeat.

Well I spent the 300 HP and THEN realized it was Avengers only. I wonder, if I don’t get any wins I don’t technically place. This means I don’t get any rewards. Does this mean can get my 300 HP back?

Nvm, ranked ~1000 with 0 points. Oh well, not a total loss then. Who knows. Maybe alot of other new players will jump in trying to get some Heroic Tokens and I can have a chance at them.
I have mixed feeling son this. One it’s actually a good way to convert HP into ISO, which the only way we have to do so now is to buy covers and sell them.
On the second hand it’s a brutal format.
300hp - roughly $3
2100 ISO is - 5$
ISO>HP
Event will probably at worst yield 2500 ISO.
