I cast haunted cloak on a transformed thing in the ice, but it still wouldn’t block a normal 4/4. I think thing in the ice also won’t block to prevent it from transforming too easily, but awoken horror doesn’t have that issue.
This is a known issue previously reported in the pre-1.7 buglist.
