Baral's Expertise did not add mana.

I cast Baral’s Expertise, returning a Skysnare Spider to my opponent’s hand.

I gained no mana to any of the cards in my hand.

My hand, in order, was:

  • Saheeli’s Artistry
  • Captured by the Consulate
  • Wind-Kin Raiders
  • Whir of Invention
  • Quicksmith Spy
    As you can see, the only card in my hand with casting cost 8 or less was Wind-Kin Raiders… it did not gain any mana.

depending on cards on hand, it even autocasts sometimes, aside from the no mana issue

There’s even an additional bug I’ve seen, where you cast it and it doesn’t bounce an opponent creature, even though they have one on the board and five or fewer cards in hand.

This is still happening with the latest update. No mana, no bounce, also the spell remains in my hand after it “casts.”

That happens when you have no cards in hand that cost 8 or less.
