There’s nothing forcing you to spend real money on the new walkers (I assume that’s what you’re referring to), and as of now there are no events planned with the new walkers, so there’s nothing forcing you to spend crystals on them.
What exactly is your complaint here?
This game only exists because some people pay real money. You can play w/o money, but you can’t blame the developer for taking real for some stuff.
As other say, no one is forcing you. And from that statement, making us pay money for things we DON’T want doesn’t seem the better option. I think the problem is that you want everything right now but that only works if you pay. But that’s how the game works.

Now I want to buy cards, bit now that needs to spent on Planeswalkers Why spend 5 here and there to boost my gold to buy that pack when I need to spend a ton more because it was wasted on something I never wanted?
