Exactly the same boosted list as last time. Still makes no sense to me.

Just for the heck, to start with I’m playing Prof / Bucky. Opposition seems to be of reasonable levels, unlike last time.

I’m about to champ KP, so I’m thinking:

Will give it a go and see how they perform. Rainbow, overlap in yellow/green powers. Slow, but high health. Beast blue can support KP black for cheap attacks. Thing as tank / nuke.

Edit: I’m an idiot. Forgot it’s only 2. Will run Beast/PX for fun. A couple blues then buff city.

Also KP/Thing.

There are a lot of Kingpin/Thing teams out there today.
Being one of them, I broke the 900 point mark with 2 days 40 minutes to go. There are points to be had. Falling point store open for business.

Using Miles / PX. The invis/stun combo takes almost no damage. Match-5 and Surprise both do 10k+ dmg. boosted.

Not to mentioned it’s super annoying to fight against.

I had the time and the health packs (though I was lucky and pulled 5 to keep me going from today’s taco) so I played a load of 15-20 point matches after I got over 750. Since I wasn’t worried about holding that score this early on, I just hit whoever was there (there may have been a few double taps), and if they want to retaliate, crack on!

I did Thing/Kingpin last time but recently I champed Winter Soldier so it’s been Countdown City with Bucky/Kingpin this time. I climbed pretty quickly with that to 575 to get the 10 cp, and I’m probably done with it. I just needed to buy a purple Moon Knight with that last CP so I could champ him and not wouldn’t lose the 3 MK covers I had dying on the vine.

Those two worked pretty well together, I’m glad they’re both boosted this coming week. But the PVP still doesn’t make sense unless they lock specific pairs. In the meantime I’m just going to pretend there was some lost Frank Miller comic from the 80’s, retconned to where Kingpin contracted the brainwashed Winter Soldier to kill Daredevil.

The way I see it is Thing has some kind of mind control device on him to do Kingpin’s bidding, who is telling Thing how effective an enforcer he is and that he should have made him one a long time ago. Poor old Ben grits his teeth waiting for a chance for the mind control to break.

And still the match up are a total irrelevancy for me unless they lock out 5s from this event. Every opponent is champed 5s, so I have to use mine. Instead of Phoe/OML + feature, it’s just Phoe/OML every match…

They definitely reworked matchmaking. I saw tons of double champed 4s still when I don’t have any of the boosted 4 list champed myself, but I wasn’t seeing rampant champed 5*s like I did last time.

I managed to muscle to 900 points early and grab a cover I needed to make 4clops my 9th 4* champ using 4/2/5 level 229 Winter Soldier and IM40. Bucky is a monster when he’s boosted; I really like him after playing him for his Crash and in this event. It was over 19k for a single fire of his red if I matched it, and still 13k if the CD resolved. Purple is a fun utility/strategic denial/small cascade potential power, too. At 2 covers, his blue is underwhelming, but surprisingly I had little difficulty getting to the 900 points.

This event also showed me one of my next hopeful pairings… Kate/IF. I took on one of those teams thinking I could hopefully down Kate quick enough, and boy was I wrong. She one-shotted both Buck and IM with her black courtesy of IF… Mine is 4/3/5, so she’s close…

I thought this version of BFF was a lot better than the anniversary version. I was getting matched with ridiculous teams in the anniversary, way out of my weight class. This time I was seeing similar rosters to my own, and I felt like there was definite strategy involved with team selection.
