I haven’t found a killer team yet. I tried Nova (championed) and Drax (nearly championed) but I don’t think that they really work together. So instead I’m pottering around with Nova and 3* Spider-Man, and it seems not too bad, especially with all the protect tiles which when matched either heal my team or give me AP. I’ve had some very long battles.

There are a lot of OML out there.

Anyone else wonder if Medusa’s power also manifests in other areas, such as armpits? Or when she gets really old and has facial hair (that magic, invisible hair that old ladies don’t seem to realise they have), if that would also be controllable.

I guess only the writer knows.

Are both Medusas’ yellow passive abilities activating on every non-basic tile match? Match an enemy attack tile and you get AP, but the other team get healed.

In 3-star land, she’s brutal with Patch. Use his green, follow it up with Medusa’s purple, and all of a sudden the 6/6 breakdown of strike tiles is more like 9/3 or 10/2 in your favor.

I’ve been using him with Mr Fantastic as the third team member for self-healers. His black does an incredible amount of damage with all those extra strike tiles on the board.

Lunchtime, slice 5, so just under 9 hours to go. 848 points, time for a quick couple of battles to get to 900.

Battle 1, should be 44 points, actually worth 51. Ooh, 899, just another quick battle.

Battle 2, win, what’s this, I’m back on 868? Shield, check position, what the heck, I’m really on 839?!?

Quit game, back to office, open game, find that I’d been hit 4 times, 3 losses, 1 win, net change -110 points.

I’d forgotten just how tablet-throwing frustrating this game can be.

In the lower points, I’ve had fun with She-Hulk and Kingpin… by the time I have gathered 6 black AP and used the finger poke, it is almost enough to finish off the enemy Medusa. Not the quickest team, though, so I’ll switch to something else later. I don’t have any of the 4*s this week championed so might be rough hitting 900 for this specific PVP.
