I don’t see what the harm in putting them up for money is. $99 already gets you two mythics, and of your choosing. $99 in this case only would get you one slot pull. If they make them periodic one-time purchases, i don’t see it as a P2W danger.

Before Across Ixalan, I would be wholeheartedly opposed to this as it would be a blatant step towards this game becoming Play to Win.
If Across Ixalan is here to stay indefinitely, it wouldn’t be as big of a deal to me, as then the purchase would function as how pay options are supposed to option: pay to get a little bit further ahead or show off your new pretty cosmetic package.

Seriously, this is not a good idea at all. It was well received by the community for the most part as a way to get masterpieces or mythics without the whales abusing the system and giving the finger to those that are F2P. That and $99 is incredibly cheap for 2000 jewels. Estimate that it’s about $15 for 100 jewels… so for $99 with a buy big bonus …1200 is really pushing it.
I have no problem with the idea. Some mythics to mps more or less won’t have a big effect on the overall balance IMO. Give the Wales their toys, so I can continue to profit as a F2P player - if they have nothing to buy, D3 might try to melk me
