Bullseye Contract Killer not firing on cascade / critical

Earlier today I was using 3* Bullseye, 3* Daken and 3* Magneto in the Nefarious Foes PVP. I made a match where Bullseye was the one to down an enemy, but the match led to a cascade where a critical tile was generated. His passive Contract Killer didn’t fire, so I didn’t get any strike tiles.

Seems similar to the Thanos Court Death bug, where it wouldn’t fire if the match downing an opponent created a critical tile. Or should I say “doesn’t” instead of “wouldn’t,” not 100% sure that Thanos bug has been fixed now that I think about it.
