The new event is titled “Who gets Baral first wins”. Does D3 even playtest cards??? Just slap some abilities on a card and send it out there…
Way to screw up the first new event D3.
I was told by many reputable people that Baral is fine, though, and that there’s nothing to see here.
Can you imagine being a new player and seeing the infinite combo turn one? If that doesn’t make you move on to another game, I don’t know what will.
With what I’ve been matched up against, Baral would at least be a change.
So far 6 matches against Koth, all of which showed my opponent with an event score of 0, implying he or she isn’t even playing the event. All identical decks with Goldnight Castigator, Scab Clan Berserker, that phoenix and Tyrant of Valakut. The few that weren’t Koth were Liliana zombies and infinite kill spells, again with no energy.
Don’t look at me. I’ve been trying to tell everyone Baral was beyond broken since the second it was spoiled…
Enemy almost Dead. My Saheeli with Full health. Claustrophobia was on the field. Not a single baral, but It was a baral build. AI managed a cascade: summoned some tokens then baral. Could only Watch. He needs a nerf asap.
No one wins if Baral is not addressed, including people who got him. Negativity is too high right now to let Baral fly under the radar

During the first Saheeli Rai event, she was locked into a node and we were all forced to endure the Runaway Carriage meta. Most people either ran RC or were forced to run answers to it.
Kudos to the devs for adequately reproducing said meta by introducing Baral. Surely this was by design!
Was playing a nasty Kiora deck that got me down to 1 hp. It was maybe at 60 hp. I finally got to cast Baral. Guess who won that match?
You know, if everyone stopped stuffing their decks with Baral, you wouldn’t be matched up against him as often 
Sure this is like the ‘clever’ MBAs who ‘optimized’ malls to waste as much of people’s time as possible.

honestly i find going against baral far easier than some of these hyper tuned kiodra decks. had one in the challenge after a baral like chain( no he wasnt out) has a 24/24 island hasted then got rid of him them boom 32/32 reach octipi game over by then

Hey, at least we have options: either we can be annoyed by the matchmaking that puts up against the same opponents with non-event decks again and again OR by playing against Baral which is as much fun as having your game freeze.
This is how you screw up an interesting event idea.
i keep seeing brian 1125 or merciside , using creature less ob or koth, and baral honestly isnt hard to handle see him first thing get taken out haven’t lost to one yet, but i save kills or imprison just for him incase lol. annoying but hey i use him why should others most dont have as good a cards as they should in theirs. i find sphinx tuteledge invaluabale, yeah slows down getting it but when i do the ai wont change cards so the first card ends up costing them 50 plus on even a cheap spell
