card effects: needed animations and superfluous animations

Watching the trails on Bo4t2 1.3 is interminable.

Us: “Are you going to speed up these animations we don’t want to wait for?”

Oktagon: “No, in fact, we’re going to penalise you for having to wait for them by having your turn time out”

I have additional ideas that would speed up the game:

-The VS screen is redundant since we already know who we’re facing. Removing it will speed up the game in general

-All rewards and secondary objectives on game completion can be presented in one list or one screen. There is no need to click click click. I would like to have all rewards and ribbons on one single list.

Tolsimir is so extra it hurts

Watching the timer count down during animations we’ve begged the devs to remove multiple times is like getting repeatedly kicked in the teeth.

It is incredibly tedious watching 1/1 tokens die to an Etheral Absolution or Orzhov Pontiff.

Mentor is a very slow ability with 3 creatures in play.

So glad adapt has sparkling animations that lag the entire game

Only tested krag, fyi.

I’ve been quitting games where my opponent plays Kraj. It’s quicker in the long run.

Glass of the Guildpact pumps each creature individually, on both player’s turns. Very, very slow.

I foolishly attempted stage 2 of Routes of Ravnica today.

It’s so dull!

Sometimes I go take a break while all th animations are pumping. Maybe go make sandwich and comeback?

The really sad thing about that level is that I didn’t even bother to look what any of the effects were. I just let them fly around the screen gaining tiny bits of life, and slightly damaging creatures, and then I played Ob’s ultimate and won.

It turns out that “Play with only Common and Uncommon cards” isn’t as interesting and varied an objective as you think it might be.

It would be nice to be able to open all card packs in one go

Just show the new cards and skip all the animations and clicking packs.
