Text reads - target creature your opponent controls is controlled by you

does this mean I can increase the number of creatures on my side of the battlefield above 3? Probably not. But doesn’t say i can’t on it

You can’t. Currently it prompts you to replace a creature if you already control 3. But I think they will change it so that you can’t cast it if you have more than 2 creatures just as they did with confiscation coup, once people are done spending their crystals to get it.

I hope they don’t change it. I just built a creatureless Kiora deck with it. Works wonders. A creatureless deck in Standard. So much for my endless chase for that elusive Exert that never came to me! (And is now almost pointless to have!)

@froggy. Care to post deck? Thanks

Start with drake haven. Put every cycling card you have in the deck. Win.

i actually prefer one creature in the deck. Monitor is a great cycle, and if it’s the only creature then Kior’s second ability will always find it and give it plenty of cycling mana.

It’s expensive enough to cast to validate the mechanic I think…

It’s pretty expensive, but considering how ridiculously powerful Exert Influence was, raising the cost by more than double seems a legitimate way of balancing that power, especially now that this is an uncommon rather than a mythic.

@Phillmoore here you go. This is standard. Needs RI, but I don’t have it.

Pyromancer’s Goggles
Sandwurm Convergence
Dynavolt Tower
Aetherworks Marvel
Gonti’s Aether Heart
Mehanized Production

Whir of Invention
Lay Claim
Attune with Aether
Animist’s Awakening

For non-standard deck requirements, the two weaker green converters are swapped out with Nissa’s Renewal and Seasons Past. Either deck is annoying as hell.

Looks good ty @froggy
