Yeah, i guess im not as angry because ive been tanking the pve event down to level 40s (which is a chore in of itself). Being boosted is 100% required for consistency when dealing with 230s though, so i would probably be pissed if i were in your shoes.
I think its being blindsided that the worst part. They mention all these things in the update and disclose other data trying to give the appearance of being completely forthcoming and then wack you over the head with increases.
Exactly these devs haven’t learned the art of tweak only a few things at a time to see how it affects the live servers. (this way you have at least SOME semblance of a control environment to compare to while having an apples to apples comparison) Rather they’d throw a kittyload of changes at us at once and see WTF comes out the other side. Just so pissed right now..ugh
Pretty much my thoughts. It’s interesting that I’ve spent far more money on Marvel Heroes in a much shorter time period. Think I’ll go punch some faces.
I always thought boosts should’ve been nerfed for PvP but I don’t think they should’ve been affected by PvE. Should’ve just put a CD on using them while in PvP.
Doing the Patch required mission would be pretty painful without starting with 6g. Sometimes you can die before ever matching 9g.
Man, I’ve been fighting hard to stay at the top of each sub event and the main. I’ve been #1 in every one so far and was #1 in main even after the cluster that was the main event extension release. Now this? Seriously considering just walking away.
No, only upper level level players, maxed out thor/wolverine holders and anti ThorVerine ePeeners were happy about the nerf. Anyone still stuck in the 2** ghetto of mediocre preforming heroes is hating it. Guess which one frequents the boards more.
hey d3, did you have time to stealth in an enemy level update while you were in there funbalancing everything?
i cant wait for the forum cheerleaders to start white-knighting up the place.
Im trying to figure out why they didnt tell us beforehand, and here are the possibilities ive come up with:
They forgot. This seems unlikely given the recent memories of the rag fiasco.
They were afraid of the backlash and thought that no one would notice if it were introduced stealthily. Unlikely because they should have known that backlash would occur regardless and that its better to just tell us right away. Its also a pretty obvious change. The backlash would also be less significant if they told us about it earlier.
Some event forced them to add this in last minute, making it so that even if they were to tell us, it would be too close to when the change is actually added. Maybe some higherup told them that they needed to monetize more or something.
Im hoping that its option 3, since the first two would be extremely disappointing.
Just another way to separate the 1% from the 99% …
Ridiculous change. If it’s not a pure $$ drive make pop buffs cost $$ while performing are free. Imagine competing in the Elite Avenger bracket now.
I’m at 94 day reward and beginning to question playing anymore.
I wish I didn’t update when Steam asked me. Although the level of the enemies dropped significantly in main and sub for me.
The boost cost increase though is a direct nerf to all characters with high cost abilities.
