Near the top of my bracket in the ‘Simulator Basics’ right now, there’s a player just behind Walkyourpath named Ursodid who has 2 characters that have 15 covers; their powers are at 5/5/5, and the two are Magneto (Marvel Now) and Bag Man. Anyone know how this is possible?
Covers used to be handled differently, and when they changed it, some numbers got thrown off due to rounding.
It’s a relic from the days of old - back when you needed 50 (out of 60) covers to max a character. When they made the conversion to 13 (out of 15), they rounded everything up, so it was technically possible if you had a 15/15/15 (or more) character, then you’d round to 5/5/5. Ursodid has been around since that time.
I appreciate the responses, guys. I do remember how covers originally worked (and thinking it would take a very long time to ever max out a character that way) but this is the first time I’ve seen a 5/5/5 - very cool for those who got to keep them.
yeah, just imagine what kind of powerhouse a 5/5/5 bagman would be ![]()
That’s a strange two to have had so highly covered when the patch went through to change the rules, though. Especially Magento Now… He’s probably the rarest 2* out there.
I remember there being a few players complaining because they pulled 8 - 10 in a row. D3 even refunded them some HP.
