Clarification on Bonus Heroes % please... (RE: std token)

So the posted probability of a bonus hero is 5%. But is this based on the TOTAL opened tokens? Or only the tokens opened that meet the requirements (3* and up)?

For example: for Standard tokens, the probability of pulling a 3* cover is roughly 3%. So is the probability of drawing a Bonus Hero from a Standard token:

0.15% (3% multiplied by 5%)

or

~3%

For Elite, the same question applies… Is the Bonus rate:
1.25% (~24% multiplied by 5%)
or
5%

(I’m in the progress of opening my cache of Standard and Elite tokens… I’ll post my pull rates) icon_e_wink.gif

Standard Token Results:
140 Standard Tokens opened:
2 3* earned
2 Bonuses

tiny bit below average… my 3* open rate dropped to 2.56% :cry:

Elite Token Results:
183 Elite Tokens opened:
14 3* earned
7 Bonues

tiny bit below expected (9 bonues would’ve been 5%)

My sample size is too small, but it looks like it’s 5% “TOTAL” and not related to the 3* covers. Good news!

Can’t speak to the other tokens, but I thought I read that if you pulled a 3* on a Standard then you were guaranteed a bonus hero.

Can confirm. Pulled a 3* Loki from a standard earlier today and received a bonus hero in the form of Dr. Strange.

Given that 5% (TOTAL) is greater than 3% (average pull rate of a 3* in a Standard token) this implies the 5% is for TOTAL pulls…

So far my pulls support this, but my fingers are getting sore. icon_razz.gif

101 Standard tokens opened so far…
2 x 3* opened (~2%)… each one got a bonus.

Standard token:
3* pulled = guaranteed 3* bonus hero cover

Heroic token:
2* pulled = no bonus hero
3* pulled (23% chance) = 3* bonus hero 1/6 times
4* pulled (6% chance) = 4* bonus hero 1/6 times
(note that these add up to an overall 5% chance of a bonus hero for heroic tokens)

Legendary token:
4* pulled = 4* bonus hero 1/20 times (5%)
5* pulled = 5* bonus hero 1/20 times (5%)

Not sure about elites (I believe 5% overall as well) or event tokens.
