Just an FYI to whatever coalition leaders want to change their names, the bug preventing you from doing so has been more or less resolved (thanks to @bken1234 from what I understand).
Its nice to see the leaderboard changing back to its old glory, and I hope everyone else with old protest names will return to their old form as well
Floofaloof will reign supreme… if I ever care enough to recruit or try to place high in events. Thanks @bken1234 for helping the top teams with their name changes.
D3NIED has been our name longer than FromTheAshes was and these days FTA seems to have become synonymous with our group as a whole, rather than just one team.
The original name, the one we would want back, was MakeSomeRoom—that team was abandoned when the leader went AWOL so very long ago.
MakeSomeRoom sums up our philosophy perfectly; not only will we make some room for ourselves in the top ten, we will gladly make some room in our mega coalition for anyone that wants to play.
Ah, you were one of the D3rest of a word groups that were in the top 10? I was always wondering if D3 offered you top 10’ers a special perk to all change your name to D3something? I remember checking the top 10 and suddenly everyone was D3nied, D3voured, D3stroyed, etc…
Yeah, we were pretty upset with the change to the rewards structure. Not necessarily because we were whining about our prizes being taken away (a popular misconception) But because we knew (from experience training up noobs and/or alts) that it would only serve to widen the divide between the established elite and the aspirational new players.
*D3fenestrate. Everyone took all of the good ones quickly so we had to get pretty creative—it just barely fit and I think it might have been FTA’s vocabulary word of the year. Here’s hoping for a much better 2018! Oktagon has done a pretty good job bouncing back so far and I can’t wait to see what they bring next!
Defenestrate is a verb that means to throw someone out of the window.
Some teams were able to save their names with alt accounts and changed back a long time ago, but on the All-time leaderboard it still shows their D3 names – if you click on them, you will see their real names – and the real names show up on the events leaderboard.
Others had names that just seemed to disappear. Those are the ones we were able to get restored.
The devs are still working on the other bug, but hopefully it will all be changed soon.
