I have been playing for some time now. The difficulty they say increases with color mastery yet I have seen a steady and dramatic increase in difficulty without going up a tier. There must be other rules.
I think it’s possible they bumped me up for opponent selection without climbing a tier.
That is nothing more than confirmation that color mastery is a farce. Also note my lower level characters …when all I had was low level characters … went against level 60s. Level 60s not running all godly decks.
The game info clearly states difficulty and matchmaking is to be determined by color tier not your character level.
The new opponents are clearly high tier. Not just high level.
The process is very rudimentary. They separate people into 4 pools based on how many cards they’ve mastered.
Unfortunately some people have gamed that system and deliberately stay in lower tiers. So you’ll occasionally get matched with monsters. It shouldn’t be a big obstacle in your progress upwards though. Push through and leave those newbie bashers behind.
Yeah, it’s ironic that they are inadvertently doing the exact thing that they fear would happen to them if they were to level up. Or tier up, for that matter.
I don’t think this is actually true. If you have noticed anything about Hibernum’s coding, its not the worlds most sophisticated. I really doubt they secretly implemented some Elo matchmaking system, especially not in the last month or so when they aren’t even working.
More likely you just got a string of bad matchmaking that you are taking as an adjustment, rather than a string of bad luck.
Mainloop25 you just sound like you think you know it all and your above everybody.
Now as for probability and whatnot a lot of people have complained about this and things like booster pack drop rates. Someone posted a link to a statistics calculator. It’s possible I had a string of bad matches. Its possible new players or old ones with multiple accounts are staying in lower tiers and hence are more frequently encountered. I’m almost certain the chance to encounter these godly decks in this particular tier were lower previously.
Other people have also mentioned the AI seems to have a power rush at times just when you are scoring high. It could be freak probability or many there is something in the coding…have you personally read the code?
