Comic Con Announcements

Don’t see anywhere posted so here it goes :

Iso will be cheaper
All 3* characters will get a 3rd ability
Devil Dino is Purple Green Red

IceIX Edit: From further on in the thread: https://forums.505go.com/discussion/17523

Just as a general reminder, please take any of these bits with grains of salt. Some of this info is spot on, other things are misinterpretations or a bit of wishful thinking. Anything we officially announce? Good to go.

Not going to close the thread for now though since it is a bit of excitement and has some great talking points in any case.

Lady Thor is Red Yellow Blue - Her covers will be available easier earlier than Fury.
Sentry will be nerfed

dam it my worse nightmare is here, I still think nerfing sentry is the wrong way to go, fixing shield hoping is

And of course I sold a Loki cover this morning. Oh well.

Simply changing WR from AoE to single target would be a simple nerf and still make him perfectly usable. It’s also considerably easier than changing how strike tiles or countdowns work for just one character.

Thank you for the update Arktos, much appreciated

Any time table given on the added abilities?

I’ve been like a kid waiting for Father Xmas lately, so I thought some of you might be in the same mood icon_e_biggrin.gif

that would mean he has the worse single target offense comparing to all other characters since your entire team gets self damage. Sentry should remain powerful as his character portraits. Balancing him should come from stepping other characters up to create diversity, nerfing him really takes the fun out.

Devil Dinosaur

Purple - Lvl 5 - Power Cost 3

Devil Dinosaur waves his foreshortened forearms ferocious moving a Black, Red , Green, Purple, Blue and Yellow tile to the top left of the board.

Green - Lvl 5 - Power Cost 7
Devil Dinosaur grabs the target in his fierce jaws, dealing 2512 damage.

Red - Lvl 5 - Power Cost 7
Devil Dinosaur snatches the enemy with his massive teeth, dealing 2512 damage

There’s any number of ways to make WR less ridiculous while leaving it as a potent board shakeup move that makes good use of strike tiles. Meanwhile, buffing other characters to a level where they can play in Sentry’s league would mean anybody with a fully covered 3* could reliably win a match in 60 seconds - because that’s what Sentry’s league is - which would be an insane design decision.

Whats that MPQ devs? Powers have to cost 5 or more?

DEVIL DINO DISAGREEEEEEEEES!

Also now with TWICE the nom nom action!

Lvl is unknown for the abilities described.

I hope it’s not lvl 270, otherwise Devil Dino is useless.

Hopefully Bullseye gets that third ability too. (Would really like to see them do every character but at least fininshing off the 2* and 3* would be nice).

im curious on his purple and what purpose it serves. Is this some sort of cascade setup move?

Just looking at the abilities, seems like he’s kind of a joke and not really meant to actually fit into the meta icon_e_sad.gif

Would be single target damage on both sides.

That purple feels like it could have some infinite turn potential, so that’s nice.

well the more I think about this the more this may be an interesting skill because it did not say basic tile so any special tile can be drawn up to the corner. And since it is such low cost you can do this multiple times. Imagine after 3 times at a cost of 9ap, it actually lines up all the colors and they match away automatically? Wont this be excellent in dealing with CD or enemy special tiles? We just dont know the full effect until we see it in action, but I guesstimate it could create a very unique scenario as a new way to shake up the board and could cause little or maybe perhaps full scale cascade if you stack up your purples.

Or depending on the situation it may be even a great move to get you out of a log jam or forcing a bad matching situation for the enemy. Just have to wait and see now I guess

I don’t know if that’s necessarily true. star.png

characters are generally 50% strength at level 70 (ignoring health), which means his abilities might do 1256 damage at level 70, and 1884 damage at level 170, which isn’t terrible. Not great, especially for the most damaging colors (red/green), but not terrible.
