While playing the current Trial of Ambition event:
Creatures with Embalm send to the battlefield create their activated gems as if the were just send to the graveyard.
Matching this activated gems summons the embalmed form of that creature even though it never dies or what send to the graveyard.
Update: the activated gems are created when the creature is mutated because it goes to graveyard of mutating.
Works as designed?
This issue is now under investigation.
