If it were a 4 star May you probably could have OHKO’d her which could have turned things a bit.
It is also possible that IHulk and Spider-Girl might not be the best team mates. Your Frank Tank took direct damage from your own IHulk and IHulk going down meant FrankTank was moved to the front to receive additional damage.
I don’t know what the ultimate team would be. Chances are you’ve tried all the usual suspects?
For sure, he took a little damage from Hulk, but not enough that he would have survived.
Spidermay and Hulk definitely are not his best teammates, but no teammates were offered to make him shine in this statement. So I just went with characters who actually could survive a little bit longer, because Franken will not. The funny thing is, the other 2 almost won the match! 0 help from Franken though.
If it was 4 star may, sure you could have maybe killed her turn 1, but that does not prove the point that he is a good counter to her. That is someone else doing the most important thing (if youre lucky turn 1 or running someone significantly better than him to carry him).
If you are fighting Frankie who doesn’t have May, MThor, iHulk or Hydra, then you’re probably not fighting a real Frankie team, and he could maybe survive, but to say you are countering Frankie, assumes you are countering her how she is played 99% of the time. OR, maybe we dont assume it, and to that I say, Frankie is a non issue without those teammates to which the counter doesn’t matter.
If this is true, and it sounds reasonable, then they should stop trying to do “counters instead of nerfs.”
Counters that don’t work on defense don’t do anything to rein in the overpowered characters. Like nobody needs an offensive-only counter to Hawkeye – we can beat him with anything already!
All the best counters in the game are entirely by accident - for example Nova/iHulk which you will never convince me was in anybody thoughts when they made Nova. Scarlet Witch and Colossus was a complete fluke born out of coincidental 5* releases. Whenever they make deliberate powers that combine on purpose with another character they are nearly always terrible.
