Thanks for the fixes! Can you fix the in-game alliance chat? If you use certain punctuations and symbols, the previous chats by other alliance members vanishes.

Test it out yourselves. Test all the symbols on your keyboard and you’ll see. I can’t remember if it was the # or $ or % or &, etc. that causes the problems, but I know it’s some of them.

I decided to focus just on the performance improvement note for 343 to keep a bit of focus but… :eyes::eyes::eyes:

I am unreasonably excited about the Season Points in pve finally going away.

So, do I read it correctly that Heroic mode will double the node rewards? What about progression and placement rewards? If this only node rewards, that seems underwhelming? Am I reading it wrong?

That’s how I read it too. Will depend on exactly how restrictive Heroic is and how much stronger the enemies are but it doesn’t seem worthwhile to do Heroic for a bit more ISO or an extra CP etc. The only nodes worth doing would be the 3 trivial ones since they’d still be trivial.

Not sure what it means for PvP since there aren’t nodes to complete like there is in PvE. So there isn’t enough info in this post to understand what that it means to play Heroic.

P.S. Also realized Heroic is going to force some strange decisions on PvE players. Placement is all about speed and Heroic is definitely going to mean you can’t complete on speed for placement. So you’ll face decisions like play normal and hope to finish T10 (time race + stress of playing on timers) for those rewards or just take your time and get double ISO, CP, tokens etc for all the rewards for the nodes. A lot of players may find that doubled rewards for all nodes is much better than trying to finish T10 for an extra 4 star cover.

P.P.S. Wish I could see the expression on EB’s face when he realizes that Heroic PvP means those Jugger/Sams will be 575 (or whatever extra boost they get) instead of 550 and he will have to be hitting them with limited sub-optimal character choices all for an extra 100 ISO or an extra standard token.

Please rethink Heroic/Normal.

A selection on each node is a slow down mechanic and an annoyance. And node rewards are practically nothing. Double nothing is still nothing.

Can you at least double the amount of saved teams? One tab for normal, one for heroic? So we can set up teams right? Preferably with supports moving with saved teams (a very long ask)?

I can see the system working for PVP though. Seal bash for double cover drops with the same boosted weekly characters you already use is amazing news for farmers.

Someone in my alliance just pointed out that double rewards could also mean double points. We don’t know that, but if so, that would mean heroics would be required for placement. Interesting point.

That would be a very critical thing to clarify before the first event indeed. Because the time gain from normal versus heroic can never double points. Would make Heroic the default mode.

I have no idea what to expect from heroic, except more of a challenge I suppose. I’ll try it out regardless just to see what it’s all about. I’ll have to since we didn’t get much info on it whatsoever. And what we did get is, of course, unclear.

Mate, every improvement for the OS 26 parkinsons is a huge improvement at this point

We will of course have to see, but some of the pve maps are already pretty crowded; I don’t know how double the pins will fit.

Can you add a box somewhere you can check/uncheck to just have heroic selected/not selected? I don’t play for speed either but don’t want to have to click extra EVERY node lol.

Also, what is the May Parker static fling “bug” ? I haven’t used her in a while now but I remember her static fling working fine before.

More of a suggestion, but it would be really handy to see an overall, kind of bird’s eye view, of pve. Instead of the nodes all spaced out and re-centering when you finish a node. Let me see it in list view or something lol, where i can see them all 0/4 or 3/4 or what. Sometimes I miss a node because they unlock at stupid points in weird places.

Or like my previous toggle suggestion, have a way to show/unshow the 0/4 overlay on the nodes or something. People wouldn’t have to use it if they don’t want to

This whole thing is annoying. “We had extra time”. Why didn’t you work on (or even acknowledge) some of the most annoying bugs in the game? Like the character swap bug? Or saved teams locking out eligible characters? Or my iPhone going full-on disco mode every 3 matches?

Instead, you worked on something I am guessing the majority of players won’t even notice. Great job on the sound effects I don’t listen to!

I woke up in the middle of my bed today, but this continued tone deafness pushed me out the wrong side.

If it awarded double points it would be a HUGE giveaway to the players because it means you could reach progression by playing half as many nodes since you are getting double points. For that reason I think it’s unlikely you get double points.

It’s only once per node, not every time for every node.

That said, it’s still going to be an annoying thing to do unless by default say ‘normal’ is clicked and if you are going for speed it’s just an extra ‘OK’ button you need to hit before starting a node for the first time. If it comes up unselected like a radio button then that’s going to be a bit more of a PITA.

I feel like players are concentrating on the double rewards thing and not the locked out bit. Someone said that EB will not be happy attacking super boosted Sam/Juggs but there is a very real possibility he won’t be on any regular basis. His roster with near everyone at 550 could rule this (and any players similar). The real question is will this be random or curated in terms of lock outs?

Eh, what they said here was so light on specifics that I don’t really have an opinion about it.

As usual, we’ll have to see what it looks like in game.

I think making an assumption one way or the other would be premature, yes.

But from their perspective making the heroic toggle per node makes more sense than fragmenting the already shrunken player base into more events because you choose Heroic, effectively doubling the highest value rewards being given to players even if they stayed exactly the same.

Anyway that point is not new. We need to see what happens in a Heroic node when you are in PVP but it seems likely they won’t change who you see or who sees you in any way, because they probably have no ability to really modify that at this point in the game. The question is what kind of boost if any they apply to your PVP opponents and if you’re really just getting 2x the randomized match rewards, then is it worth it at all to engage with this given you could just be putting yourself at a disadvantage in the event in exchange for 2x the iso, 1s and 2s.

How do you know that choosing Heroic for a node *won’t* restrict matchmaking? Where did they say that? Be specific.

There’s just nothing really here, and we’ve seen a million times that these announcements get stuff wrong or are missing critical information. When it shows up in the game and we can work out exactly what it is, I’ll evaluate it then.
