CS one time exception

I asked twice. Once when I pulled a 6th Gambit black one day after he left latests. The other was when I pulled an unusable cover from one of the heroes in one of the new release stores. Bolt, maybe. That last one was the moment I decided never to waste CP on those limited stores again.

Yep, this is it.

I am not a big spender so I don’t expect much, but I did ask for an exception once. I had 2 unusable OML covers, one from classics and one from daily resupply. I asked and they rejected. Now a year later I finally got a 13th OML cover from the 4* feeder.

Spending does not seem to correlate to getting the exception granted. I’ve followed this for a while and have fought with CS many, many times over this ridiculously unfair practice. I have asked and been rejected on at least 10 occasions. The rejections have all come from either champ rewards, pulling from a new release store, daily resupply or from a bonus hero. I have provided copies of emails from alliance mates who have been granted exceptions multiple times with no luck. It’s just another example of how broken CS is for this game.

CS continually refers to it as one time exception even if it is the second or third time someone is receiving it. I’m just using their language man.

Did that someone spend a lot of money on MPQ?

I never asked for a non-Latest swap, but I did mistakenly sell two 5* Black Panther covers when he was in Latest because I had completely forgotten about Latest cover swaps. I sent a really polite email asking if they could mayyyybe help me out and after I told them the approximate time of day when I sold them, they sent me two covers I could use.

I’ve been rejected several times, never got a 1 time exception. Also, I’ve accidentally rostered a duplicate cover for a 5* peter parker because I had an open roster slot. My 5* PP was fully covered, but I was short on ISO so it was sitting in my rewards queue so it was going to be used as a champ level. They also refused to replace it, even though they do it for other people. CS Roulette.

I’m surprised with the number of zero-rejected. That’s a lot of people to be denied, seemingly randomly. Kind of a groin punch.

I should have also asked how many people were rejected after getting their first one.

Also, I wonder how many of the multiple exception people are being shy about it. Since the ones I know haven’t responded tot he poll.

There’s 2 things I know they won’t ever do

  1. Swap one character cover for a different character (unless the one you want swaped is level 550)
  2. Swap a cover dupe that has already been rostered

If you ever accidently roster a cover that you were otherwise going to use, immediately put your device in airplane mode and force close the app. Then open the game on a second device (provided you have one) , if you are lucky you can catch it before it saves your action to the server.

Regarding 2, I don’t know if that is necessary true. One thing they have done for me, my 0/2/0 Banner was allowed to be sold so I could have a 0/1/0 and 0/1/0 Banner. Adding the cover to my dupe Banner was a mistake and they allowed me to reverse it.

And yes I have a 13/13 Banner and three 0/1/0 Banners I hope to sell when he is fixed/buffed. Of note, the first time when Banner was 12/13 at 4/5/3, they wouldn’t let me exchange my cover to make him a 13/13.

Interesting . I know when chsmpioning was released they let me breakdown all my dupe 3* characters (which I kept to have different builds) but recently I accidently rostered a RR cover instead of adding the champ level and they didint want to hear anything about . I also had a dupe goblin with 2 purple that I tried to get them to break down when I finally champed him , I got denied then too.
Maybe when RR is in classics I’ll try again

The concept of someone getting to 550 while the character is still in latest continues to blow my mind.

Zero. But I’ve also never been in the position to need it.

Never bothered to ask because the general consensus is that they won’t do it.

Hey @Brigby any official comment on the discrepancy players have experienced with classic swaps?

Oops, I read the question wrong and voted for 4, when I should have voted for 0/Never Asked

I think their answer could be “The decision were made on a case-by-case basis.” If you were to press them on the criteria that they use to decide who gets the swap, I doubt they’ll give you an exact answer, and would probably give you a vague answer.

There’s absolutely 0 rhyme or reason to it though most will agree spending is the best way to tilt the odds to your favor, but even then, there’s definitely no hard and fast rules or amounts to fall back on.

As a general rule MPQ’s CS is disappointing, regardless of issue. But I guess they’re consistent.
