I don’t understand this post… you still have the option to buy the Origins 5-pack (how is it called? Premium pack?). You will get a guaranteed rare and both mentioned cards are rare.
Yes you can still buy them like that but once you have more than say (pulling a random number out of thing air) 60% of the rares from those sets, it’s just not worth buying those sets. Your odds of getting dupes is too high so you are better off saving your crystals for new sets or planeswalkers you don’t own yet.
I still don’t own an Unholy Hunger from Origins, and I’ve been playing pretty much since release. I don’t know what the chances are of pulling one specific rare out of a booster or premium pack are, but they’re pretty low.
I agree with your reasoning, but if that’s the only option you have to get the rares you want (not counting the 8-hourly free booster), what else do you suggest? At a certain time you will own all planeswalkers. Just stacking your crystals for the new set still won’t get you the rares you are looking for. Maybe the new duplicate system will alleviate these pains for us players.

The Archangel on sale almost seems like a mistake.
If they wanted to make money, they could have put RishkarEx on sale. Of course, once it was stuffed in everyone’s decks, they would need to “modify” it 
You’re right, of course. Fixing that card would require actual work out of them, so I doubt we ever see it for cash.
