as per now I’m a happy 2* → 3* transitioner, already having the following 3* versions championed:
Still I am lacking covers for the most desired ones, namely
,
,
,
,
therefore, championing those is not yet an option.
I feel the need to get 2-3 of my team members to the magic threshold of 166 and would like you to help me decide which ones. These are the candidates:
: For him I have 4 idle covers, so he is most likely to make the run
: 3 idle covers in my queue. She’s not my favourite, but I feel uncomfortable wasting covers
: 2 covers in my queue and in terms of special tiles I consider him stronger than Psylocke
: 2 covers in the queue
: 2 covers queued. He’s the hardest to decide on. On the one hand I like pairing him with Patch and Doom, on the other hand, his abilities do not scale with level, so the only thing to gain here is health and match damage
no covers queued, but he’s at 3/5/5 and on the DDQ schedule for next monday. Plus, I like his style …
I would focus on daken, loki, blade, and grocket first (daken first, then order the other three by how often you use them). I think beast and psylocke fall behind those.
Daken is solid, pairs well with Patches, and you have 4 covers for him. Best option.
Loki is surprisingly useful to champ, if only to let you swap around his powers. Most go 5/3/5, since the difference between 4 and 5 black is nuts. However if you’re pairing him with someone who isn’t Patches (which was a big combo back in the day) or aren’t facing off against a team that makes strike or defense tiles then his black is useless and you might as well swap to 3/5/5. Though you generally want him at a lower level than his teammates, so he doesn’t hop up front.
Groot is worth it. Patches/Groot/Blade has good color coverage, floods the board with strike tiles, and two out of three have true heals on them. Good survival node team.
My advice is to skip Psy. I maxed her ages ago and never use her, even when boosted. Her problem is finding a team. Everything she does Blade does better.
