I don’t post on the forums much, as seen by my post count; I just mostly lurk about. Today, however, happens to be my 100th day playing this game so I thought that I would share for those who were interested…if anyone actually is, haha. That, and it kind of feels like a mini-milestone. =D
A lot has changed since the day I downloaded MPQ off of Steam to give it a shot. Alliances didn’t exist, seasons didn’t exist, etc. But I enjoyed playing the game just the same. With the changes that have gone on, I have kept on trucking, adapted my play style as needed, and continued to remain active and competitive as I can be. I’ve won my fair share of PvP brackets (7 and counting) with what I consider an under-developed roster. No 141s, heck up until this last Loki PvP, I didn’t even have a 3* fully covered that had 3 abilities! But through strategy, well timed shields, bracket watching (or obsessing depending on you look at it), and lot and lots of grinding, I have been able to keep up my top 5-10 finishes as I continue my MPQ journey towards that first fully leveled 141!
This forum has helped me a lot in my playing since day 1. The character threads and subsequent discussions are a boon for players who start off. The forum community, albeit a bit crazy lately, is one of the better forum communities I have been apart of in my days of gaming. Lots of helpful players!
I look forward to my next 100 days played with MPQ (hopefully with one or two 141s in toe!). I even feel slightly rewarded since the daily mission drop was 25 HP. I just wish D3 had added a couple zeros behind it!
When I first saw your name on the forums I was like: “HeilMary…that’s a bit…pretentious!”
But then when I saw it again in another thread I was like: “OOOOOOH! HAILMary. Well don’t I feel like an ass. Good, now I don’t have to image some pasty kid behind a screen with a Hitler mustache anymore!”
My username was a random phrase I thought up as a throwaway, back when I thought It was only useful for Prologue Versus in a game I thought I’d abandon after a week. Now… I’m stuck with it, though I kinda wanna change it to HalleMerry, just so it’s not completely out of the blue.
Congrats! Remember have fun while keeping sane. This is still a game after all. I’m glad I’m working 6 day work weeks right now because I’m really feeling the after burn of having a second job known as puzzle quest. Hope to see you around for 100 days!
