They made it easier because of the complaints, I mean some nodes were harder then the developers felt they should be. I actually liked he first change it brought a little more challenge to the mundane.
As I recall, they said it would be randomized, which is not quite the same thing as completely random.
Ditto. I remember getting the impression that it would be more random. Not “anything could happen!”-Random
