Anyone know exactly what DDP are? I keep getting Deadpool popping up every now and then mentioning it, but not sure what they are or how to use them. If you ever ask the developers a question, they always send you the standard message for you to go to the forums to find out as it’s easier…for them probably. Anyone have any ideas on what this is? Is it new or something that’s being abandoned like supports seem to be?
There are 2 levels to his Whales! x 3 attack. The first is what the text on the screen says, where you do X amount of team damage. The second is that for a certain amount of Deadpool Daily points (I believe 28K), you have the ability to turn it into an AOE that, IIRC, does 99K team damage, and will effectively end any fight against any characters than can be hurt by team power damage and are have less than that in total health. In other words, it becomes an instant win button.
Because he’s the one with the ability…? Honestly this makes sense to me.
I don’t know what your roster looks like but a lot of players have a habit of using 3DP in the DDQ. Specifically, the “Dat Required Character” node. Put 3DP and a Thanos on your team and you should win quickly, and gain your points for the day.
There’s a LOT of jargon and abbreviation in addition to massive amounts of rule/play data— just keep (1) looking stuff up in the pinned gameplay summaries elsewhere in the forum and (2) asking here.
To my relief and pleasure, I discovered that this is a really healthy forum with a tremendously generous esprit de corps among members. As far as playing the game goes, there is a lot of wisdom and fun to be had here. That said, there’s plenty of griping about game UX and monetization, too, as might be expected in a complex and popular — but very much aging — game property.
I’ve noticed over the years that the forum has drawn back from the really “in-club” style jargon - especially with regard to character nicknames. Things like LazyCap and BagLady which will mean absolutely nothing to newer players.
I do still miss every new character guess being Dazzler though.
I’ve been an off-and-on mpq player, and when I recently returned I was met with Grocket, Gritty, and Grittshop. Suffice it to say, I found out fairly quickly that I too needed a Grocket (currently 5/3/4 with 3 saved covers, so I’m almost meta).
