Posted this over in my alliance thread, but reposting here for the general population. Post your favourite Deadpool panels! I think the red ability should really be called Shoryuken.
Pretty much he’s a goofball. I don’t think any of the books were quite seminal in the Marvel Universe, but he has carved out a very loyal following and people do like the red/black color scheme. If you had to start somewhere, Joe Kelly’s run is pretty good and there is a small chance your local library will have it. But I wouldn’t bet on it. Couple of fun panels.
I like Deadpool, really. I wouldn’t call myself number 1 fan or anything, but he’s pretty cool and ALWAYS has so much potential for “cross-media” products (read: licensed videogames).
That said, I hope that he’s terrible. Being the #1 most requested character, demiurge can’t really afford to mess this up, so I hope they do.
Speaking as someone who’s not much of a comic reader and has only kind of heard of Deadpool stuff before, the images and links in this thread have made me a fan. Excited to see Deadpool in MPQ now!
