(posted here as it didn’t really seem like a character question)
How does the Demolitionist damage mechanic work? I have been watching this a lot during the current iteration of The Hunt, and the damage caused is twice what the damage description is.
For example: there was Demo’s countdown tile, and one other countdown tile. Description reads, “does 910 damage, plus 842 for each other countdown tile” - so 1,742 damage, right?
Did 3,486 damage. (This just happened, and I was specifically watching the numbers)
Did Demo Buddy find a 2x multiplier and not tell anyone ? or am I correct in the assumption the RNG gods reeaally don’t like me ?
Are you sure it didn’t set off some of the pink 20 turn countdowns? Those do nothing if they resolve on their own, but if a demo tile sets them off they do a bunch. So they basically get counted twice.
Honestly, Demo saved my bacon more than once by triggering before a sniper could destroy my team. Does anyone know the order in which multiple expiring cd tiles go off?
There might have been a couple you didn’t see on the board. Sometimes I feel very secure and right then one of the sneaky countdown tiles go off making me go WTF!
The damage mechanic goes like this: Since the demolitionist does so much damae in most situation, you just play with a team that attempts to never get hit by any goon tile. If you are about to, retreat and try again. Success!
