Why are we earning covers for 5 JG Phoenix and Daredevil- instead of earning the latest 5* covers.
It’s a real bummer. Zaps my motivation to contribute to boss events. Especially if you’re not even rebalancing these characters. I do not appreciate the change.

Sword Master - i can understand the skip, Season Pass gave covers.
Falcon - no clue
War - season pass gave shards
The new pass is up, and the Drop Bears are in it. I’m guessing the new season vault will look like the War one again.
I guess we have our answer, they decided to stop giving away so many covers for new releases in bosses which are gimme events for any decent alliance. They prefer to try to sell them via SXP and vault tokens etc.
I passed this on to the team to look into further, as they shouldn’t have been removed but may have been taken out mistakenly during the 6* Boss Events.
TLDR; the team is looking into it, this was not intentional
I’d be happy to be proven wrong. It sure looks like the idea was to make the rewards thematically coherent and as a result we didn’t get the newest character.
I would say a reset to just give the newest one in Latests moving forward would be fine, since for a while we got covers for a character who wasn’t even in Latests.
I don’t think anyone will mind if the rewarded 5 doesn’t tie into the boss theme.
Better yet, select the boss to thematically match the latest 5.
Better yet.. Just do what happens with every single event: rewards have no necessary tie to the events they are earned in.
Why start now? We have basicaly never for over a decade.
