Should we just do one or the other? And under what circumstances?

If you’re just reporting a bug, this forum will probably suffice. If you need assistance with a purchase problem or are unable to play the game, you should definitely submit a ticket to customer service. You can post here too in case the community has advice to offer, but customer service won’t reach out to help you if all you do is post here.
