Nothing is set in stone of course, if they decide it is in their best interest to let standard be larger than 2 blocks, they will. It’s’up to us to convince them that it is in their best interest.
Yeah. I am totally bored with the game right now. I am ready for KLD to rotate out even though I will sorely miss Rx, MWC, HoK in every single deck. Maybe Ixalan will have something worth spending mana jewels on.
Personally I haven’t spent a dime since standard.. $40 for a card? No thanks. Real cash on cads with a combined drop rate of 1% for a mythic/masterpiece? Hell no.
And they have offered such awful elite packs that its hard to imagine spending on Ixalan. 4000 crystals, 2600 mana jewels, 125 unopened packs.
Now if it was practically possible to collect the whole set, I could easily see myself spending a couple hundred per set. I would also likely buy some cards at about $10-20. Oh well. They only like harpooning whales. Always turns out good for developers in the long run.
That’s assuming that we all agree that Standard should be larger than 2 blocks. Personally, I can’t wait to see Kaladesh rotate out, even with a lot of useful cards exiting meaningful competition.
Why we would, well atleast the people who disagree with you would want to do that.
Two blocks and origins (which will rotate out in due time) is far too limiting. Like you said before, noone plays standard in paper magic. (unless it’s’an organised event)
We don’t’have the option to invite some friends and play mtgpq to our own rules, we only have training grounds and some old NON coalition events. (that’s’why I think it’s’limiting)
Is that sentiment specifically regarding kaladesh?
