@Brigby - I hadn’t noticed an explanation to the really important question. How drain mana from hand will work? From last card? first? If the latter it change strategy game mtgpq is into more rng - as you won’t be able to order and cast spells as you want
@Szamsziel
Up until now mana has been drained starting with your first card. The question is probably whether they changed something in this direction.
Up till now the effects draining from your hand are limited only to few cards especially aimed to disrupt your play. (I deliberately not include despoiler of souls). And this make perfect sense as those action happens before you start casting your spells. So you are able to respond and reorder before unleashing fury. Draining your hand on your spells means that depending on the unpredictable cascades/matches may result in different modes for casted card.
I see people whine and complain how powerful jaya will be and how dreadful some red spells are.
Did you guys see the composition of the rares and mythics in the set?
3 mythic and 2 rare spells
7 mythic and 14 rare supports
15 mythic and 24 rare creatures
So you have exactly one red spell with higher rarity coming this set and you seem not to be able to cast it at all if your opponent doesn’t have two creatures on the board… Oh boy…
N.B. I am excluding masterpieces from this analysis specifically because their influence on the as-fan is negligible.
