Since the 3.8 release patch, Dream Eater has stopped doing its return target creature. It still does the surveil but then never asks for target creature to return to owners hand. Also, if played by Vivien’s Invocation, it doesn’t do any damage to the opponents first creature (it actually did not due this previously). I am playing him with Sarkhan Unbroken.
I have the same issue with Dream Eater.

Same, I thought it might’ve been only when “flashing”, but no, sadly this awesome critter just lost it’s mojo.
